Three Ryde Harriers have been selected to represent England in the International Masters Half Marathon.
The selection was made after the Fleet Half Marathon, which served as a qualifying race for the event set to take place in Swansea on June 8.
To be selected, runners had to achieve a qualifying time and finish in the top three of their five-year age categories.
Dave Hunt, Carly Scoble, and Pete Young all met the criteria with impressive performances.
Dave Hunt, competing in the M40-44 category, ran a personal best of 1.11.04, finishing 13th overall and third in his age group out of 3,000 starters.
Carly Scoble, who narrowly missed England selection at the recent Farnborough Half, ran a personal best of 1.22.48, finishing third in her category and 12th lady overall.
Pete Young won his 75-79 category in 1.44.16, with the second placer more than 10 minutes behind.
The other three Ryde Harriers also achieved personal best times.
Gary Marshall finished 26th overall and sixth in his 40-45 category in 1.12.43.
Simon Newman ran a personal best of 81.55, and men's captain Trevor McAlister completed the personal bests with an impressive 1.23.45.
Their coach, Geoff Watkin, said: "As Harrier’s coach, it’s not very often that I attend a race and all the athletes produce excellent runs.
"The Fleet Half was an exception with everyone on their top game on an undulating and windy course.
"A big well done to all six athletes for their dedication and hard work."
Meanwhile, top Island athlete Henry McLuckie, who has also represented England and GB, has been training in the high-altitude town of Flagstaff, Arizona.
This has proved beneficial as he ran a very quick 3,000m indoors in 7mins 41.97secs, plus a 3.57-mile run in Boston, Massachusetts.
He then returned home to compete in the British Indoor Championships, where he finished third.
Despite this, he missed out on GB selection to Adam Fogg, who had run slightly faster over the distance.
Henry is now back in Flagstaff, running 100 miles per week as he prepares for this summer's outdoor season.
